tar and chip:
Tar and Chip driveways are a great choice for driveway material. If you would like to keep the cost fairly reasonable, but want something more interesting than asphalt, you should consider this type of paving. It is actually a driveway paving material that many people are unaware of. However, it is a great driveway paving material choice.
Chip Seal is a combination of asphalt and stone. A gravel base is installed. Then, hot liquid asphalt is applied on top of the gravel. The asphalt adheres to the gravel base. Loose stone is then put down over the hot tar so that it becomes embedded in the asphalt. The stones are then firmly rolled into the tar.
This type of driveway has a rough surface so that it does not get slippery. Therefore it provides more traction. But best of all, it is textured and nice to look at.
Chip Seal provides you with just as much durability, flexibility and will last as long or longer than asphalt. Because of its unique paving process, with Chip Seal applications you won’t need a new seal coating every year. Therefore it is very low maintenance. It also attracts less heat than asphalt.
No matter what your asphalt project may be, or where it is located, Chip Seal may be the best investment you have ever made. So if Chip Seal is what YOU'RE interested in or you would like a free estimate, give us a call and let us provide your property with that beautiful rural appearance!
